WSA in collaboration with WMU Family Weekend, Fall Welcome, and Polar Plunge present the first outdoor winter Western Wednesday. Wear brown & gold all day and stop by the Flagpoles for some awesome giveaways and find out how you can become a Fall Welcome Ambassador, attend Family Weekend, or make the Plunge!

WSA will be giving away cups, pens, stickers, and maybe even t-shirts if you're lucky!

The WSA Diversity Committee will also be promoting upcoming events adn their two scholarships.

There are two scholarships available, one funded by the WSA and onefunded by DSS. Both are being facilitated by committees. Both are diversity based scholarships. The WSA funded scholarship committee has undergraduaterepresentation from the WSA diversity committee and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The Disabled Services for Students scholarship committee has representation from the WSA Diversity Committee and Disabled services for students.
Both scholarships are $1000 and are/will be available at westernstudentassociation.org/diversity, or in paper copy in the Student Organization Center outside the WSA's office. Applicationsare due the Friday before spring break and winner will be announced at the Diversity Awards on April 11th

Late Night Bus Service!

Want to get downtown but the buses have already stopped for the night? Or maybe you've found yourself already downtown...only to realize the buses stop running after 10pm? Well you've voiced your concerns and Metro Transit has listened! Metro Transit will be running extra hours Monday-Thursday from January 9th, 2012 to March 1, 2012 from 10:00pm to 12:55am as a TRIAL run. To make this permanent there has to be a substantial amount of riders! There must be 305 riders between all 4 routes during the extended hours! Lets try our hardest and make this permanent!
