Elections

Every year, the Western Student Association holds an election to determine their new President, Vice President, and College Senators. All enrolled students are encouraged to vote. The election is overseen by an executive branch of the WSA called the Elections Control Board.

The Elections Control Board is charged with running and maintaining a fair election season for the WSA. The Board is tasked with advertising or otherwise publicizing the elections itself in a completely unbiased and nonpartisan manner. The Elections Control Board shall fix the dates and deadlines pertaining to all student elections and referendums, prepare and count ballots, receive petitions of the candidacy, make a preliminary determination of the eligibility and legitimacy of petitions, and publish election results.
