The Diversity Guidance Committee works within the university at the community promoting diversity. We work to put on programs to educate students as well as celebrate diversity within the Western Student Association. We also help voice any concerns related to diversity given to us by any Western Michigan University student. Chair: Marcus Jackson
The Elections Control Board is charged with running and maintaining a fair election season for the Western Student Association. The Board is tasked with advertising or otherwise publicizing the elections itself in a completely unbiased and nonpartisan manner. The Elections Control Board shall fix the dates and deadlines pertaining to all student elections and referendums, prepare and count ballots, receive petitions of the candidacy, make a preliminary determination of the eligibility and legitimacy of petitions, and publish election results.

The Philanthropy Committee serves as a liason between WMU and the Kalamazoo Community. We deal with all of the charitable and philanthropic affairs of WSA. Our biggest event of the year is Polar Plunge, WSA's major service project, which occurs in March and benefits Special Olympics of Michigan. We're also in contact with other groups like those involved in the United Way and many other Kalamazoo organizations. Rules, Bylaws, and Administration compiles, reviews, and revises the statutory structure of the WSA as necessary. They provide supplemental guidance regarding parliamentary procedure and administration.
