President – Chiante’ N. Lymon

Chiante’ N. Lymon is a Senior from Detroit, Michigan, studying Criminal Justice with a double minor in Communication and Sociology. In her time at WMU, Chiante’ has been involved in multiple Registered Student Organizations including: Drive Safe Kalamazoo, Senator for WSA Co-Chair for the Political Affairs Committee, Students Making A Change in Kalamazoo, Honor Organizations, Criminal Justice League, and many more. Chiante’ has continued her involvement on WMU’s campus as a Fall Welcome Ambassador. Not just on campus but off campus as well, Chiante is involved with the Pratt Bar Association of Kalamazoo, Michigan State Bar Association, Former Intern at Wayne County Prosecutors’ Office and currently serves as an Intern for the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors’ Office. Chiante’ is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Vice President – Logan Brown

Logan R. Brown is a Senior from Rochester Hills, MI, double majoring in Aviation Flight Science and Aviation Management and Operations, with a minor in Economics. He has served two terms as the Campus Sustainability Chair, and currently serves as Student Body Vice President. Outside of WSA, he is a Medallion Scholar and is very involved in the Lee Honors College. Additionally, he is a member of Alpha Eta Rho, the aviation business fraternity, and NGPA. He helped start a new RSO last semester, known as “Blessings from Broncos,” which works with local elementary schools. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, volunteering, keeping up with the news, reading, and of course, Netflix. This past summer, he was a Flight Operations Intern for United Airlines, working in their Chief Pilot’s Office at the Washington Dulles International Airport.

Chief of Finance & Operations – Dominique A. Henry

Dominique A. Henry is a Senior from Grand Rapids, MI. She is a member of the Haworth College of Business, majoring in Personal Financial Planning with minors in Comparative Religion and General Business and this will be her third consecutive year serving as the Chief of Finance & Operations for the Western Student Association. Alongside of WSA, Dominique is also a member of the Registered Student Organization You Beautiful Black Woman, which she has been a member of since her Freshman year at WMU. Dominique enjoys making an impact in her community by volunteering at multiple charities, being a Peer Mentor at the New Options Public High School in Allendale, MI and volunteers at the Elementary School her mother is the Principal of. Dominique is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In her free time, she likes to watch movies, go shopping, and sleeping.

IT Coordinator – Patrick Schick

Patrick is a Senior from Ann Arbor, Michigan majoring in Electronic Business & Marketing with a minor in Management and Business Analytics. In his time at Western Michigan University, Patrick has been involved with Alternative Bronco Breaks, Future Alumni Support Team, and Drive Safe Kalamazoo. Patrick is an active member of Fraternity and Sorority Life, having served as Recruitment Chair, Historian, and Vice President for Pi Kappa Phi, Director of Member Education for IFC, and Vice President of Internal Affairs for IFC. Currently, Patrick serves as the IT Coordinator for WSA, updating and running the website. In his free time, Patrick likes to play fantasy football and read.

Speaker – Dustin Taggart

Dustin is a Senior from Niles, Michigan majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing and Philosophy. In his time at Western Michigan University, Dustin has been involved with the First Year Experience Office serving as Orientation Student Leader as well as a Student Orientation Coordinator. Dustin has also been invovled with Omicron Sigma Lambda, Public Relation Organization (PRO), as well as Drive Safe Kalamazoo. Dustin is an active member of Fraternity and Sorority Life, serving as Corresponding Secretary of Phi Gamma Delta. Dustin serves as the Speaker of the Senate for WSA. In his downtime, Dustin is a suffering Detroit sports fan and likes to stay active within intramural sports.

Speaker Pro Tempore – Kayla Hughes

Kayla Hughes is a Senior majoring in Biomedical Sciences and Athletic Training with a minor in Chemistry. As a student leader on campus she’s been involved with CAB, SPASM, Fall Welcome, Club Lacross, BCAB, and working as a Faculty Assistant in the chemistry department. She has enjoyed her time in WSA working to help students pursue their passion and get involved on campus. Kayla is currently on rotation with the WMU Men’s Football team and enjoys assisting student athletes with medical needs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, eating, and studying. Serving as the Speaker Pro-Tempore she hopes to encourage students to engage in their campus community and promote change!

Chief Justice – Nicole Cumming

Nicole is a Senior from Kalamazoo, MI, studying Political Science: Public Law with a minor in Rhetoric Writing and Legal Studies. On campus involvement has been important to her. She has been involved with WSA before as a senator. She is a member and has previously held a board position for the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She also works on campus as a Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions. She has previously held an internship position experience at the 9th Circuit Court in Downtown Kalamazoo. She spends rare periods of free time with friends, family, and anyone else who can make her laugh.

Allocations Commission Chair – Taylor B. Hall

Taylor is a senior from Southfield, Michigan majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Services with a minor in Psychology. During her time here she has also served as the Student Affairs and Community Involvement chair. Taylor has also been a Resident Assistant, a Leadcorp Intern, and Orientation Leader and was on WMU’s Homecoming Court in 2016.

Academic Affairs – Colleen McInerney

Colleen McInerney is a Senior from Crestwood, Illinois studying Computer Information Systems. During her time at WMU, Colleen has been an active member Fraternity and Sorority Life, serving as chapter Secretary of Chi Omega and Director of Campus Programming and Activities for the Panhellenic Council. Colleen has served as a Fall Welcome Ambassador and currently works as an Ambassador for the Haworth College of Business. As a Lee Honors College student, she is currently developing her honors thesis on the topic of Higher Education and Student Affairs, the path she plans to pursue after graduation. Colleen currently serves as the Academic Affairs Chair for the Western Student Association.

Community Involvement – Samantha Hack

Samantha is a Junior from Stevensville, MI and is currently pursuing a degree in Biology and Chemistry Education. Samantha has been involved with many campus organizations, including being a former resident assistant, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, a member of the Western Student Education Association, and is a former WSA senator for the Lee Honors College. Currently, she does research in forest ecology-atmospheric chemistry and is a Teaching Assistant in the biological sciences department. Samantha hopes to aid in connecting students to the surrounding Kalamazoo community. In her free time, Samantha likes to cook, fish, kayak, and volunteer with area community organizations.

Diversity Guidance – Pooja Mandagere

Pooja is a third-year student, double majoring in Computer Information Systems and Communication Studies. I am the Diversity Guidance Chairperson for the Western Student Association, the Vice-President of the Study Abroad Alumni Ambassadors, a participant in the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honors Society, and a Peer Student Success Team Member for the Lee Honors College. I lived in India for 10 years, and I have studied abroad twice. My hobbies and interests include, but are not limited to, maintaining a GPA above 3.5, and being active on campus.

Political Affairs – Jessica Poling

Jessica R. Poling is a sophomore from Kalamazoo, Michigan, double majoring in Dietetics and Global & International Studies, with minors in Spanish and Rhetoric & Writing Studies. Jessica is currently a Transfer Student Ambassador in the First Year Experience office and the Volunteer Coordinator for Refugee Outreach Collective. She is also an active member of the Student Dietetics Association and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Jessica enjoys staying active, whether that be through working out, biking, kayaking, or being involved in her community. She is passionate about supporting her friends and family and working with little kids.

Public Relations – Donovan Harrington

Donovan is a Junior and this is his third year being actively involved with WSA, but his first year serving on the cabinet. He’s also been involved with Project Uplift, His/Her Untold Stories Heard (HUSH), Intramural Flag Football and he is also an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Student Affairs – Jasmine Williams 

Jasmine is a senior majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in psychology. Since transferring to Western, Jasmine has been involved in many different Registered Student Organizations, volunteers in the Kalamazoo community, and works in the First-Year Experience office. But she says she found her passion for helping others by becoming a college senator in the Western Student Association. “By being a transfer student I understand what it’s like to not feel connected to the school that you attend. I would never want any WMU student to feel that way so I do whatever I can to help all students make Western feel life home and find their path.” Jasmine currently serves as the Student Affairs Chair for the Western Student Association. In her free time, she enjoys watching her favorite Netflix/Hulu shows, exercising, and hanging out with friends and family.

Sustainability – Mitchell Decker

Mitchell is a senior from Grandville, Michigan double majoring in Integrated Supply Chain Management and Environmental and Sustainability Studies. In his time at Western Michigan University, Mitch spent a year as a resident assistant, and has served as a Fall Welcome Ambassador. Currently, Mitch serves as the Sustainability Chair of the Western Student Association, the student body government, and is a member of APICS, a professional supply chain organization. Mitch is also an active member of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) Fraternity and a Drive Safe Kalamazoo volunteer. Mitch is a passionate Detroit sports fan (even if the teams are subpar), an avid soccer fan and player, and loves to travel!

University Pride – Emma Puzzuoli

Emma is a Senior from Sterling Heights, MI studying Marketing and Sociology. During her time at WMU, Emma has been an active member in Fraternity and Sorority Life, serving as Panhellenic delegate and Social Chair for Alpha Omicron Pi, and Treasurer for the Panhellenic Council. Emma has served as Vice President for the Women’s Club Volleyball Team. Emma is also a member of the American Marketing Association. Emma currently serves as the University Pride Chair for the Western Student Association.
