WSA Attendance Hits All-Time High

February 04 2010

“Standing room only” seating describes the Western Student Association meeting on Wednesday February 3, as the organization reached its highest meeting attendance of the year.

The meeting began with the loudest fight song ever as 114 students and a few guests loudly cheered it.

“Student are recognizing the impact of discussions the Senate has,” WSA Treasurer and Growth Committee Chair said. “Their voice can make a significant impact on campus life and culture.”

Meeting topics for the day included a presentation on the proposed new on-campus apartments, the Senator of the Month Award, given to Michelle Blankenship of the College of Education, and the discussion and approval of the Student Election Code.

“We really just need to thank our wonderful Senators for their word-of-mouth advertising,” Spencer said.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out weekly WSA Senate meetings every Wednesday at 4:15 in room 157 of the Bernhard Center.
